Mild commotion prevailed during the Bhu Bharati Sadassu held at Poosai village in Adilabad district after the local cadres of the BJP raised objection to the presence of Congress party’s Adilabad Constituency in-charge Kandi Srinivasa Reddy on the dais at the official event.
According to sources, the meeting saw minor disruption soon after its commencement when a group of BJP cadres found fault with Mr. Reddy’s presence on the stage at the Revenue Sadassu attended by Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy and Panchayat Raj Minister D. Anasuya (Seethakka).
BJP MP from Adilabad Godam Nagesh and the party’s MLA from Adilabad Payal Shankar were also present on the occasion.
A heated argument ensued between the cadres of the BJP and the Congress creating mild commotion for some time. The police intervened and brought the situation under control.
Later, addressing the meeting the Revenue Minister highlighted the salient features of the Bhu Bharati (Record of Rights in Land) Act 2025. He said the Bhu Bharati portal will resolve all the land related issues in a simplified and transparent manner.
He criticised the previous BRS government’s Dharani portal for what he called making distressed farmers run from pillar-to-post for resolution of their land issues.
