Three singer-songwriters across experience and styles take over Bira 91 Taproom this weekend, promising stories of heartbreak, soul-searching and sailing through it all. The lineup includes seasoned Bengaluru-based artiste and vocal coach Mahesh, whose music is described by the event curators as “soulful, introspective, and rooted in the city’s indie spirit.”
Singer-songwriter Gowri Bhatt, who first grew her fanbase via Instagram during the pandemic through her intimate covers and original songs will bring “evocative storytelling, powerful melodies and classical singing”.
The night will be headlined by New Delhi artiste Dhruv Kapoor, who released his self-titled debut album in October last year. Not only known for English songs such as ‘What Is Love’ but also Hindi tracks like ‘Tum Ho Meri Jaan’, the artiste will bring “bilingual ballads and honest lyricism that linger long after”. Kapoor added in a post on social media, “Bangalore on a beautiful Sunday evening! Can’t wait to play for all of you at Bira91 Taproom in Koramangala.”
