Prime Video has released the official trailer for Another Simple Favor, the sequel to the 2018 black comedy A Simple Favor. The film reunites Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick, who reprise their roles as Emily Nelson and Stephanie Smothers, respectively.

Directed by Paul Feig and set in the Italian island of Capri, the sequel follows Stephanie as she reconnects with Emily, now preparing for an extravagant wedding to a wealthy Italian businessman. According to the official synopsis, the celebration is soon disrupted by “murder and betrayal,” adding more mystery to their already complicated relationship.
The trailer shows glimpses of the pair’s uneasy alliance, high-society guests, and a series of twists surrounding the destination wedding.
Returning cast members include Henry Golding, Andrew Rannells, Bashir Salahuddin, Joshua Satine, and Ian Ho. New additions to the ensemble include Michele Morrone, Elena Sofia Ricci, Elizabeth Perkins, Alex Newell, and Allison Janney.
Another Simple Favor premiered at the South by Southwest Festival in March and is scheduled for release on Prime Video on May 1. The script was written by Jessica Sharzer and Laeta Kalogridis, with Feig returning to direct after helming the original.
Filming took place in various Italian locations including Capri and the UNESCO World Heritage site Villa Adriana. Production wrapped in May 2024 after being delayed from an originally planned fall 2023 start.
The first film, released in 2018, centered on a suburban mother caught in a missing person case involving her enigmatic friend. It was a moderate box office success and developed a strong following on streaming platforms.
