CSR aid to treat children with clubfoot, cerebral palsy in Mysuru district

Automotive Axles Ltd., as a part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative, has joined hands with Apollo BGS Hospitals, Mysuru, to provide free treatment for children with clubfoot and cerebral palsy.

Shreyas Alva, Consultant Pediatric Orthopedic Surgeon, Apollo BGS Hospitals, said, “The initiative sets an example for society. More companies should come forward and embrace social responsibilities. Treatments can make a meaningful difference, improving children’s lives. Many children suffer silently, but with proper care and timely intervention, their lives can be transformed. Under this initiative, the surgery is done free of cost.”

In a press release, Mr. Alva said Mysuru district has nearly 20,000 children with such conditions. If more industries or corporates under their CSR initiatives come forward to help, more children whose parents are not in a position to provide treatment due to financial constraints, can get help.

Vinayaka V. Bhat, Senior General Manager, Automotive Axles Ltd., said, “The entire team at Automotive Axles Ltd. is delighted to contribute to this cause. It gives us immense satisfaction to know that our efforts are helping children take their first confident steps towards a brighter future.”

In the release, N.G. Bharateesha Reddy, Vice-President and Unit Head, Apollo BGS Hospitals, Mysuru, said, “Corporates coming forward for such noble causes can make a difference. We offer advanced treatments for conditions like clubfoot and cerebral palsy with expert care and facilities.”
