The Indian Premier League 2025 has welcomed a unique new member to its team – a robotic camera dog.

In a video published on social media by the IPL, former New Zealand cricketer and commentator Danny Morrison officially revealed his new broadcast companion before the match between the Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on April 13.

Danny Morrison provided some intriguing information regarding the robot dog. He clarified: “It can walk, run, greet, but most importantly, it has the vision of a pet.”

In the video, the robot dog stands on its hind legs and forms a mechanical heart with its limbs. Morrison playfully said, “Don’t get too close!”

The robot immediately drew everyone’s attention, surprising the athletes and the audience.

While Delhi’s Axar Patel seemed confused, Mumbai Indians captain Hardik Pandya excitedly greeted the robot in the video. When the robot dog got to his feet, Mumbai Indians player Reece Topley appeared shocked.
