Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Irrfan Khan in ‘7 Khoon Maaf’.
Members of the Hindi film industry paid tribute to Irrfan Khan on his fifth death anniversary. Actor Priyanka Chopra Jonas shared a memory with Irrfan from their movie 7 Khoon Maaf.

Priyanka and Irrfan starred in the 2011 movie, directed by Vishal Bhardwaj. The Hindi black comedy was based on Ruskin Bond’s short story Susanna’s Seven Husbands. On April 29, 2025 (Tuesday), Priyanka put up photographs from the film on Instagram Stories.
“Thinking of you and your incredible talent,” wrote Priyanka. 7 Khoon Maaf also starred Vivaan Shah, John Abraham, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Alexander Dyachenko, Annu Kapoor, Naseeruddin Shah and Usha Uthup. The film revolved around the character Susanna Anna-Marie Joannes, an Anglo-Indian woman who caused six deaths in her persistent quest for love.
Irrfan, a versatile actor with admirers from across the globe, passed away at 53 due to neuroendocrine cancer. On Tuesday (April 30, 2025), filmmaker Shoojit Sircar, who collaborated with Irrfan for Piku (2015), took to Instagram to remember the actor.

“Dear Irfaan, Friend, wherever you are, I know you’re doing well and have probably made many new friends there. I’m sure people have fallen in love with your charm, as we all have. Here, I’m doing fine. But there’s one thing you might not be aware of Irfaan – just how much you’re loved and missed here. You’d be surprised,” he wrote.
Irrfan’s son, Babil, took to social media to pen an emotional note as well. Babil was recently seen in Logout, a cyber thriller drama.
