BJP leader Shivraj Singh Chouhan met with the leaders of the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in Bihar.
Union Minister and senior BJP leader Shivraj Singh Chouhan met with the leaders of the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in Bihar on Saturday (April 12, 2025) , to discuss strategies for the upcoming Assembly election in the State.
MLAs, MPs, and State and Union Ministers from 10 districts were called to attend the meeting. According to party sources, Mr. Chouhan advised them to focus on ensuring the victory of NDA candidates.

The high-level meeting was attended by Union Minister and senior Janata Dal (United) leader Rajiv Ranjan Singh alias Lalan Singh, JD(U) national working president Sanjay Jha, and several other JD(U) Ministers.
From the BJP, State president Dilip Jaiswal, and both deputy Chief Ministers Samrat Choudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha, were present.

Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) State president Raju Tiwari, Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular) State president Anil Singh, and Rashtriya Lok Morcha (RLM) State president Madan Choudhary also attended the NDA meeting.
The BJP leaders of Madhubani, Darbhanga, Samastipur, Sitamarhi, Sheohar, Muzaffarpur, Araria, Madhepura, Saharsa and Supaul districts were called to attend the meeting keeping the proposed visit of PM Modi on April 24 in Madhubani.
These districts are part of the Mithila region, and presently, all the Lok Sabha seats are occupied by the NDA. There are over 65 assembly seats in these ten districts.
Party sources said that Mr. Chouhan asked the leader to repeat the same performance (Lok Sabha performance) in the Assembly election scheduled in October-November.
During the meeting, Mr. Modi’s visit was discussed to make it historic. “The arrival of the PM in Bihar is very important. PM Modi can give the gift of many schemes in many departments. Seeing the enthusiasm here, it seems that this programme will be historic,” Mr. Chouhan said.
The PM will also address the Panchayat representatives of 10 districts on the occasion of National Panchayati Raj Day on 24 April.
Madhubani district holds a special attention in India because of its Mithila painting. The artists and artwork of Madhubani make people feel proud of the state. Madhubani was once considered a stronghold of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), however, the situation has changed.
Out of 10 assembly seats in Madhubani, most of the seats are occupied by the NDA except Madhubani and Laukaha which is occupied by RJD.
Mr. Jaiswal said that in the programme, the Prime Minister will give guidance about the participation of the public in many departments and its utility, which will be beneficial and welfare for Bihar. He also said that the PM can also give many big gifts to Bihar during his visit.
After the meeting, Deputy CM Samrat Choudhary said that ‘Nitish Kumar is the leader of NDA and will remain so in future as well.
When journalists asked Mr. Lalan Singh, the PM coming to Bihar to give a message of unity among the NDA, he got angry on this question.
Mr. Singh said, “Are you trying to set the narrative before his arrival? He is coming to participate in Panchayat Diwas. What will he say or not say, will he make you write it down and say it?”
