A marathon planned to create awareness of the importance of higher education among Plus Two students here on April 27 has been postponed to May 1.
In a statement, Virudhunagar Collector V.P. Jeyaseelan said the objective of the marathon was to ensure, 100% enrolment of the Plus Two students in colleges.
Students of all schools across the State could participate in the marathon.
Students who had not yet registered for the marathon could register themselves to participate. They could also directly join the marathon that would begin at 5 a.m.
The first 1,000 students, who won the marathon, would get T-shirts.
The first prize would be ₹40,000, second prize ₹30,000 and the next three prizes would be ₹15,000, ₹10,000 and ₹5,000 respectivley.
