Vizag poised to become a ‘film hub’, says MLA Ganta Srinivasa Rao

Telugu Desam Party’s Bheemunipatnam MLA Ganta Srinivasa Rao says that the State government is actively working to transform Visakhapatnam into a “film hub.”

“If the required infrastructure is created, actors and directors will look forward to shoot their movies in Vizag,” Mr. Srinivasa Rao told the media after paying a visit to the ‘Vizag Film Nagar Centre’ at Timmapuram on Saturday.

Mr. Srinivasa Rao said that noted producers such as Allu Aravind were expressing interest in establishing studios in Visakhapatnam. Though land had been allotted to the film industry near Thotlakonda earlier, a few persons raised certain objections. “Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu is expected to allocate an alternative site after discussing it with Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan,” he said.
